Laser headlights are the pinnacle of modern automotive optics. Their peculiarity is that it is not the laser itself that hits the road, but a converted stream of bright white light with a range of up to 600 meters. Blue laser diodes create light close to daylight through a phosphor converter, and mirrors and lenses form a precise and powerful beam. Such a system works in tandem with adaptive light, consumes less energy and shines further than LED optics. But there is a nuance: the price of such headlights is comparable to the cost of a used car.
