Dasha is at the exhibition “Mir Detstva” and shows what has changed in the modeling industry for two years of sanctions.
There are three stands of domestic manufacturers at the exhibition: “Zvezda”, “Modelist” and “Kostroma Comrades”.
“Zvezda” showed a mock-up box on the future novelty rocket “Soyuz”, but it did not arouse much interest in the audience.
“Zvezda” does not develop a line of civilian cars, limiting itself to three models.
The author is skeptical about the success of the novelty “Soyuz”, but plans to assemble it himself.
“Zvezda” mainly produces models in 72 and 100 scales, which the author considers promising.
“Zvezda” is looking for a new audience, but is facing difficulties due to declining interest in the hobby.
Russian platforms cannot compete with YouTube and TikTok in attracting new viewers.

“Kostroma comrades” brought a lot of wooden models under the Bomi brand.
The author believes that Bomi products are a great start for beginners.
“Kostroma comrades” do not promote their kits in 43 scale, which the author considers illogical.
“Modelist” is engaged in repackaging models from foreign firms and adaptation to the Russian market.
