Why do you sometimes see an Airbus Beluga stranded at Düsseldorf airport?
One of many routes which the Airbus Beluga flies is between Toulouse and Hamburg Finkenwerder. Hamburg lies on the north coast of Germany and often experiences gale force winds. Due to the relatively low crosswind limit, the Belgua every now and then has to divert to Düsseldorf or other airports along the route and wait for the winds to calm down. The downside of being so big!
