I'm testing the use of HDR images with Blender. I have found them easy to use, but difficult to visualize correctly. It seems that Blender Internal has a harder time working with them. I've made two videos: one with Blender Internal, the other with Yafaray. The settings were:
HDR Pano image set as a world image and GLOBAL coordinates. Yes, I know everybody says that it should be ANGMAP, but if I use that, when the camera rotates 180 degrees the image is stretched to infinity. With GLOBAL that doesn't happen... but the sphere's and suzanne's reflections seem wrong.
The image stretches often.
I changed the camera lens to 20. With 35 or 45 the objects seem closer.
Rendering was quite fast.
