The sleepy town of Kirovsk became a haven for Ivan Kolesnikov. He had long wanted to break with the past and reintegrate into ordinary civilian life. Now he owns a small café, a loving husband, and a father. No one knew about his past, and Ivan himself wanted to forget it, as well as his call sign, Phoenix, after all, he had repaid all his debts to his homeland and was now as free as the wind. But the past suddenly resurfaces in the most unpleasant way: robbers burst into his café, and Ivan had no choice but to fight to protect his wife.
His deep-seated skills proved effective; Phoenix killed every single one of them, but these were only the first warning signs and the beginning of a war. The dead turned out to be members of a local criminal organization in Primorsk. The criminals have completely taken over the city, and corrupt officials and law enforcement agencies support the main crime boss, Kostas, and cover up even the most serious crimes. Ivan is left alone against the whole world, and the murder of his only son now gives him complete freedom for revenge...
