Residents report speeding off-road vehicles
Residents of the exclusive Misión de los Lagos gated community sent a series of complaints and videos to Canal 44 via WhatsApp to denounce the irresponsible use of off-road vehicles (ATVs) at high speeds within the streets of the residential complex. The residents report that the drivers of these modified vehicles disregard speed limits, jump speed bumps, and generate excessive noise that disrupts the tranquility of the area. This situation has created a strong sense of insecurity among residents, especially for children, pets, and senior citizens who go for walks. It was also noted that, according to a recent resolution by the State Congress, off-road vehicles are strictly prohibited from circulating on public roads and urban thoroughfares in Ciudad Juárez, being intended only for rough terrain or dirt roads. Given this situation, an urgent appeal is being made to the Road Safety Coordination to collaborate with the residents' committee and restore order to the area before a collision or more serious incident occurs.
