In this video, we are going to teach you about the OSI model and its seven-layer that helps the user in the networking system.
OSI stands for Open Systems Interconnection and is a conceptual framework for how applications communicate over a network.
The model has seven layers, and its representation of the layers helps users understand what's going on in a networking system.
The OSI model layers are typically described from the down layer to the top. The layers are physical, Data link, Network, Transport, Session, Presentation, and Application.
These layers enable the transmission of signals across Ethernet, Fiber Optic, Wi-Fi, or other wireless protocols. They are provided by a wide range of network card drivers, operating systems, applications, and networking hardware.
The application layer gives the user access to network services.
These services involve protocols that interact with the client's data. One of these protocols, utilized by web browsers like Google Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer, may be HTTP.
Office, Outlook, and Skype are more examples of apps that make use of this layer.
The Presentation layer, or layer 6, performs the uncomplicated task of syntax processing or converting data from one format to another. Watch the video till the end to discover more!
