Strymon El Capistan vs TC Gauss Tape Echo
Some notes:
el cap is ~5-6x used price
el cap was set to -3dB using the secondary boost/cut function, as the volume drop on the gauss is significant and non-adjustable.
Most of the other secondary functions of the el cap were set mid way, reverb off but I think I accidentally nudged it on later in the video.
hard to tell what the mod switch does on the Gauss.
Recorded using a Fender Strat, '68 Princeton Reissue with a Jensen C10R, mic'd with a Rode NTR ~1 inch from grille cloth, centred.
