In this Arduino project, we build a simple Automatic Plant Watering System using a Soil Moisture Sensor, an LED, and a DC Motor inside Tinkercad.
When the soil becomes dry, the motor (simulating a water pump) and the LED turn ON automatically. When the soil is moist, both turn OFF.
This project is great for beginners who want to learn about smart garden systems, sensor integration, and basic Arduino automation.
🧰 Components Used:
Arduino UNO
Soil Moisture Sensor
LED + 220Ω Resistor
DC Motor + 0.5kΩ Resistor
Breadboard and jumper wires
💡 Skills You Will Learn:
How to read soil moisture data with Arduino
How to control devices based on sensor readings
How to simulate automation systems inside Tinkercad
✅ Coming Soon:
In Part 2, we will upgrade this system with an L293D motor driver for professional and safer motor control!
