“DobasDrums” has updated a new video. Today’s video is about Great Hands For A Lifetime Advanced Part-3 By Tommy Igoe.
Here comes the long awaited "part 3". This is the warm up I use before gigs and before practice sessions. I think this is a huge benefit to drummers as it has you playing all the rudiments in a tangible form at a steady tempo (except the rolls and ratamacue accelerandos)!
Once you have gotten through the beginner, intermediate and advanced; push yourself into the 5 minute advanced. It will really make you work. Finally, go back and play the basic lifetime warm up with the brushes.
You will be amazed at how beneficial playing with brushes can be. They will help your touch, timing and your accuracy. That was one of the main teaching points of the late Alan Dawson, teacher of Tony Williams.!
