LuegemolTV was there – Baden Carnival 2026 live!
From Shrove Thursday to the grand carnival parade on Sunday – we captured Baden Carnival 2026 for you! Under this year's motto, "Dough Elections," the fifth season kicked off on February 12, 2026, promptly at 6 p.m.
Füdlibürger's sentencing on Shrove Thursday:
Accompanied by torches, drums, and a horse-drawn carriage, the infamous Hieronymus Füdlibürger paraded from the lower train station square through Badstrasse and Weite Gasse down to the execution site in Graben. Before the High Court of the Spanish Bread Guild, his misdeeds of the past year were mercilessly exposed – to the delight of young and old! And the most surprising part: Instead of ending up at the stake, Füdlibürger promptly announced his candidacy for the city council! 😄
Carnival Parade Sunday, February 15:
Over 1,000 participants paraded from the church square through Baden's city center to the lower train station square – colorful costumes, elaborate masks, imaginative themes, and rousing brass band music! We've compiled the best moments of this unique and most colorful parade in Aargau for you.
