Learn DaVinci Resolve Fusion expressions for beginners with a practical motion graphics example. In this DaVinci Resolve Fusion tutorial, I show how to use expressions to control multiple animations from one master animation, link Fusion controls together, create delayed motion, build custom controls, and make cleaner animation setups without manually keyframing every object.
This beginner Fusion expressions tutorial starts with a simple circle animation and then rebuilds the same animation using expressions inside DaVinci Resolve Fusion. You will learn how to link width and height controls, reference values from another node, use GetValue, offset animation timing with time and delay, and create a custom Delay slider using Edit Controls.
The goal of this tutorial is to make Fusion expressions easier to understand by using a real animation problem. Instead of animating every circle manually, we create one master animation and make every other circle follow it with adjustable timing. This technique is useful for motion graphics, title animation, callouts, shape animation, repeated objects, procedural animation, and advanced Fusion compositions.
