In this Video we will discuss what is outofprocess hosting in ASP.NET Core.
When will be used Kestrel Server and when will be used IIS or IIS Express server. Also discussed about that what is worker process. and when it will be used w3wpe.exe or dotnet.exe or IISExpress.exe.
And also we will discuss that how to run .NET Core application using .NET Core CLI ?
In ASP .NET Core there are two web servers. First one Internal web server and second one external web server. The internal web server is called as Kestrel and the external web server can be IIS, Apache or Nginx.
Only one server involve when you deploy your application as in process hosting model. And two server involve when you deploy your application as out of process hosting model.
What is a Kestrel Server ?
Kestrel is a cross-platform web server for asp.net core which means you can develop and run your applications on different types of operating systems such as Windows, Mac or Linux. It support on all platforms and versions that .NET Core supports.
