Dont starve, and dont starve together is an indie game created by the franchise Klei. In it involves a group of survivors surviving in a world known as the constant where bizarre creatures such as pigmen, giant spiders, and treeguards. Play as one of the 21 characters, Wilson, Willow, Wolfgang, Wendy, Woodie, Wickerbottom, Webber, Wigfrid, Maxwell, WX-78, Wheeler, Wagstaff, Winona, Wormwood, Wes, Walani, Warly, Wilbur, Wilba, Woodlegs, Wortox, or Wanda in an attempt to not only survive but uncover the secrets of this strange world around you. Whether that be defeating the ancient fuelweaver and earning the leader of the shadows Charlies favor, making it to the moon and defeating the lunar champion, uncovering the ruins of the ancients long before you, or killing toadstool if you want a pointless challenge. Dont starve has several worlds for players to explore as well such as The Gorge, The Forge, Hamlet, and Shipwrecked.
Now there are many weapons, tools, characters, and even that old bell thing from single player dont starve that are all capable of doing great amounts of damage. However from an objective standpoint, there is a single tool that is able to more damage than all of them, without it being close, even to the point to where it can kill most bosses including some endgame bosses in less than a minute.

I am ofcourse referring to gunpowder. a single unit of gunpowder can be lit on fire, or fired from a musket in hamlet and does 200 damage a pop, a damage thats shared by blowdarts and can be beaten by certain characters. However, you dont need to light individual gunpowder on fire and can instead just add to a stack to increase the damage. This allows a full stack of 40 gunpowder to do up to 8000 damage in a single strike, something that no other item in the game can even come close to.
As for how to get the stuff, its a mild inconvenience but not undoable by any means. Requiring only charcoal, rotten eggs, and worst of all nitre… which will be a pain to gather late game.
