When someone mentions a GT3, chances are you’d first think about a chiseled, track-ready 911 coupe—which makes sense because that describes every GT3 since 1999, even those delivered without a big rear wing. But in 2026, Porsche is ready to expand what a GT3 can be, or what it can be used to do. It’s called the GT3 S/C—for Sport Cabriolet—and, along with a familiar face, we’ve taken it to some familiar 000 stomping grounds in Northern California to find out if it lives up to some very high expectations.
