Edifier R1000T4 - Another Sound Test
Actually this is an older one, likely from when I first got my Edifier R1000T4. The recording quality is pretty meh, which is why it sat on my hard drive, but I wanted to share it anyway.
Tldr for strong bass lovers: these speakers won't give you subwoofer-level thumping. I kept the bass slider neutral because cranking it up only boosted mid-bass, not the deep sub-bass many folks crave. Also for PC user, you could always use Equalizer APO to add some mid-range, 'cause I found the vocals lacked a bit of body otherwise (note: personal pref).
I totally agree the R1000T4s are best as nearfield speakers, so you might wanna grab some dedicated speaker stands. Given their 12W per channel output, just adjust your expectations accordingly, and you'll probably be pleased. Oh, and I'm a big fan of their classic look, too!
