Albany State Defeats Tuskegee 7-3, Remains Undefeated in Conference Play
In front of a Homecoming crowd in Albany, GA, the Albany State Golden Rams edged out the Tuskegee Golden Tigers with a gritty 7-3 win.
With the victory they improve to 6-1 overall and 5-0 in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, solidifying their status as one of the conference’s elite.
The Rams leaned on a strong defensive performance — led by Isaiah Morrison and Luke Rose — that kept the Tigers’ offense off-balance all game.
On offense, QB Jaydon Kinney got things going and backup Zhay'Lyn Bell expertly guided the team, while the rushing tandem of Derrick Drayton and Daytin Baker combined for 150+ yards.
With Homecoming energy in full effect, the win serves as a strong momentum builder as Albany State turns its attention to travel for a major conference showdown against Benedict College Tigers in Columbia, SC next Saturday.
