This will be the last video from Peru. Lima is a huge and cosmopolitan city where we spent a few days. We explored a small part of the most popular neighborhoods of Miraflores and Barranco, although we covered quite a few kilometers in walks.
The city is one of the culinary capitals of South America. It is full of excellent restaurants and before we left I had my sights set on the second best restaurant in the world. Alas, he was not working around the New Year holidays. We managed to reserve a table at another very good restaurant. Maita is on the 32nd place in the ranking for the best restaurant in the world. Our lunch was quite an event. The tasting menu is interesting and presented in an exciting way. The food is not worth commenting on. Even if you are not a fan of such restaurants, the culinary scene in Lima will not disappoint you. There is something for everyone here. Superb street food and unpretentious restaurants serving delicious Peruvian cuisine can be found on every corner.
What surprised me about Lima at first glance was that it was shrouded in dense fog. Then I read that this is extremely characteristic of the city and the fog is formed by the ocean. We rejoiced in his power from on high. The cliffs of Miraflores literally jut out over the ocean and have a great boardwalk. There is also the Park of Love, a popular spot, especially at sunset.
Miraflores and Barranco are the most visited tourist districts. Clean, tidy and full of patterned graffiti. The coffee culture is strong here and we tasted great Peruvian coffee in many places. I also took it home. I didn't want to leave Peru. But it was time. It's been that way every time, and that's probably never going to change.
I hope the videos from Peru put you in a good mood, friends! It is a unique country to which I would return.

Bye and see you soon!
I'm Laura, have a nice trip! 😊
