Building 3D Camera Tracking in After Effects
Learn how to seamlessly attach videos or elements to buildings in After Effects on the After Framing YouTube channel. Skip using the Mocha effect and instead, navigate to the tracker and choose 'track camera.' Enable detailed analysis to initiate background assessment. Numerous tracking points will appear, making it easier to attach videos to buildings or other surfaces. Find a red target aligned with the building angle for attachment. Right-click to create a solid and camera. Pre-compose the track solid layer for editing. Place a new video below the solid layer, adjusting the track matte to alpha matte. Draw a shape on the building, similar to masking. Change the track matte of the solid layer to the alpha matte of the shape layer. Your video will now stick seamlessly to the building. For a polished look, adjust the mode based on your video's needs — 'lighten' mode works perfectly in this case.
