In this tutorial, I'll show you how to set up an FTP server on Windows 10 or Windows 11, then transfer files to another Windows PC on the same local network.

What you need:

· Both PCs running Windows 10 or 11
· Same Wi-Fi or wired network

Steps covered:

· Enabling IIS and FTP services
· Creating a Windows user for FTP access
· Creating an FTP site
· Configuring folder permissions
· Setting up Windows Firewall (Allow an app)
· Finding the host PC's IP address
· Testing connection with ping
· FTP connection using File Explorer
· FTP connection using Command Prompt

No extra software needed on the server side – built into Windows.
