Regalec, the giant sea serpent of the abyss

For several years, however, scientific buoys submerged at a depth of 2,500 metres in the Mediterranean have been attracting pelagic fish. Among them, Régalec. Very much alive, alone or in pairs, floating vertically! With the help of world specialist Régalec and the logistical support of passionate divers, a scientific expedition reveals the biology of this enigmatic ambassador of the abyss.
Shot entirely in Ultra High Definition, the film lifts the veil on its paradoxical moral: why do all adult animals mutilate themselves and shed part of their body without being affected? How do these fish find themselves in the immensity of the ocean? Why do they have no known predators?
