Why does my narcissist keep coming back? Why the narcissist keeps coming back is because you let them. That is the plain and simple truth. However, on a deeper level, the trauma bond with the narcissist is a big reason why the narcissist keeps coming back and you take the narcissist bait and let them back in. What is the trauma bond? The trauma bond is when you have an attachment to the narcissist even though it is an emotionally abusive and toxic relationship with the narcissist. But if you are the one trauma bonded to the narcissist, why do narcissists always come back? The hoover from the narcissist is one way in which they might come back into your life. It doesn’t matter if you dumped them or they dumped you, if they feel like you will serve as a source of narcissistic supply, then they will come back into your life when they need to use you again. The narcissist wants to date again if they don’t have any other option for ways to refill their supply source. If the narcissist ex came back again, you must remember not to take the bait and to ignore the narcissist hoover or else they will always be in your life, wanting more. You will never be rid of the narcissist if you are a consistent source of narcissistic supply for them. When the narcissist says they want me back, it may be hard to ignore the narcissist hoover, but you must do it for yourself. The grey rock is an effective tool to keep the narcissist away, but a more effective tool is no contact. When you give no contact to the narcissist, they no longer can control and manipulate you with their control techniques and they must move onto someone else.
