An unofficial lyric video for "Heartbeat" by Mosaic MSC.
// ABOUT THE VIDEO //
I made this video as a result of a video request for my church's middle-school ministry. This is one of my favorite lyric videos from 2018, probably because of how the moving parts work together to produce something relatively simple yet cool.
Isaiah 55:9 (NLT) says, "For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts." God will always be higher up than we are, yet He still lovingly invites us closer to His heart. There is always more of God to discover that's just out of reach. This song speaks to the desire to learn more about God and His heart and to be closer to Him, but also to the things we don't know everything about—His personal will for each of our lives, how He operates, and even how to live life every day, and yet the list goes on. I hope that with this song, you not only accept the invitation to seek after God, but also that God would align you in step with His heartbeat and that He would ignite the personal, meticulously-made, God-given passions that He specifically made you for and so desires you to endlessly discover in Him and who He is.

// TRIVIA //
-This is the first project that I used the Strobe Light effect for in Adobe Premiere.
-The multicolored effect on the text was created using a series of four Drop Shadow effects.
-The video effect over the heart during the chorus was created in part with Blend Mode set to "Hue" and Opacity to "50%."
-The heart in the video was inspired by a pillow in my house.
// CREDITS //
-It goes without saying, but this video wouldn't be possible without Mosaic MSC's song "Heartbeat."
-I couldn't remember or figure out who made the heart that I edited for this video—it could be from Apple, or I might have even made it myself—but if someone else made it, thanks to whoever made it.
-The font that I used is called "Bebas" and was created by Dharma Type.
-As aforementioned, I made this video.
-Last but not least, I believe that God deserves the ultimate credit.
