Validating Data in Google Sheets
When you use data validation you are able to determine what type of data is entered into a cell. By setting these validation rules you are able to eliminate the possibility of a user inputting the incorrect data type. There are a number of possibilities that you can choose from in Google Sheets. You are able to create drop-down lists in cells where only certain options can be chosen or add warning signs and reject the input of data if it isn’t in the correct format.
