The purpose of this compiler is to enable WordPress Developers to be able to use NodeJS, SASS in collaboration with a git repository.
Most solutions that have this ability results in the deployed directories housing source files/directories (such as .scss, node_modules and .git). While I can see it's usefulness in hand-offs to upcoming developers on a project, in some cases, it's better (and cleaner) to keep source files separate from what should be optimized-for-web.
