Boundless Respect for Revolutionary Forerunners
The Fourth National Meeting of Veterans was grandly held in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.
In July Juche 104(2015), the veterans took part in the meeting held in the presence of the respected supreme leader Kim Jong Un, heard his congratulatory speech run through with love for them that they could not forget all their lives and had a photo session with him.
Kim Jong Un was present at the meeting and warmly congratulated the war veterans and wartime meritorious persons.
He had a photo session with them before the Martyrs Cemetery as he was aware of their 60-odd-year-long day and night yearning for their comrades-in-arms who had died in the severe Fatherland Liberation War against the invasion of the US imperialists without seeing the V-Day.
He took hands of the veterans one by one and warmly acknowledged their cheers.
The spirit of resolute defence of the leader, the spirit of national defence and mass heroism displayed by the service personnel of the Korean People's Army during the Fatherland Liberation War are very precious ideological and mental wealth in the struggle for prosperity of the country and victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche.
Kim Jong Un ensured that the V-Day was significantly celebrated every year to carry forward such precious ideological and mental wealth generation after generation.
When the war veterans greeted the 59th and 60th anniversaries of war victory, he said they should come to Pyongyang, participate in the national celebrations, enjoy celebration performance and have photo session before the Monument to the Victory in the Fatherland Liberation War. He also said that when they come to Pyongyang, senior officials of the Party and state should meet to encourage them, give reception in their honour and give them souvenirs when they go home.
Kim Jong Un said now all the war veterans would be very old, he would meet them and have a photo session with them and give state banquet in their honour before they get older, and if he has a photo session with war veterans, their grandsons and granddaughters will regard it as a pride that their grandfathers were war veterans.
He had national meeting of veterans held again and had a photo session with them.
At that time the veterans hardened their resolve to hand down the noble ideological and mental wealth to the rising generations as revolutionary seniors and make a positive contribution to arming them with the spirit of national defence.
