To begin, open the TikTok app on your phone and tap the "Inbox" icon located at the bottom of the screen. If you're not logged in, make sure to sign in to your TikTok account first. Once you're in the Inbox section, select the chat of the person you want to send a photo to. If you’ve never messaged them before, you may need to initiate a conversation.
Within the message box, you'll notice a row of icons—look for the photo or image icon next to the text input field. Tapping this will prompt the app to request access to your photo gallery (if it hasn’t already). Grant the necessary permissions so TikTok can access your stored media.
