Meet Alwiyo. She is the single mother of Mohamed, a college student. Her three children grew up in Nairobi before moving with her to the U.S. A challenge for her is the difference between her upbringing and that of her children in America. Alwiyo says even though cultures are quite different, they are the same in some ways and you don't have to be scared off. She encourages other parents to get involved in the education of their children.
