X 1 Approach: Revolutionize the Ramp
The panel will discuss how technology is being developed and adopted by FBOs to improve safety and bring real time information and services directly to the aircraft on the ramp. The panel will cover topics from handheld mobile devices used by Line Service Technicians, how payments are being modernized and simplified, the role technology has in ramp safety as well as how technology can be used to adapt to changing operator/passenger expectations.
About Our Host Jim Wiley:
In an over a quarter century career in aviation, Mr. Wiley has served in multiple operating positions including Line Service Technician, Line Service Manager, Flight School Manager, Ground Services Manager, Operations Manager Transition Manager (for acquisitions), Assistant General Manager and General Manager. He began his career at Priester Aviation and subsequently served at DB Aviation, Mercury Air Center, Million Air, Sheltair and Landmark Aviation where he was the General Manager of their Opa Locka (OPF) FBO and a Transition Lead. Wherever he has been, he has improved operations, resulting in increased margins and profitability. Mr. Wiley is a pilot and attended the State University of New York where he studied Aerospace Science.
