Cleaning up your LinkedIn skills section can be a nightmare. The official method involves a tedious, manual process: click the pencil, find the skill, click the trash can, and confirm the deletion... for every single skill.
In this video, I put three methods to the test in a showdown to find the best way to bulk delete skills:
1- The Manual Method: I'll quickly show you the painfully slow, built-in way to delete skills on LinkedIn, which is the problem we're all trying to solve.
2- The AI Agent Method: Can a modern, AI-powered "agentic browser" handle the task? I gave Perplexity Comet a simple prompt to delete all my skills and recorded its attempt to navigate the site, its successes, and where it ultimately hit a wall.
3- The JavaScript Method: When automation is needed, sometimes simple code is the most powerful tool. I'll walk you through the short JavaScript script I wrote to instantly delete all remaining skills directly from the browser console. Here is the link to the code on my GitHub. https://gist.github.com/KianAttar/2c8...
This video is for anyone who is tired of manual data entry, curious about the real-world capabilities and limits of AI agents, or looking for a quick script to finally clean up their own LinkedIn profile.
Which method would you use? Let me know in the comments!
