How to make a thick basting?
Loose basting is a type of basting used when transferring the pattern to the fabric. Loose basting involves three flat basting stitches, followed by a fourth, leaving the thread loose. Once this process is complete, the fabric is opened, the threads are stretched, and then cut. This leaves a pattern mark on both sides of the fabric.
