Hi, This is How two's
In this video we are, going to see how you can keep Values from one cell into multiple Adjacent cells
We are going to use Merge function to do this, Merging cells is part of presenting the data in an understandable manner.
It is a way to group the data under similar headings or merging data across more than one cell.
To Understand Merge Cells, Lets use the following example data which shows the details of Employee's in a company
Find the Cells
The first step to use the Merge function is to decide which data has to be merged and in which cells
So here in my case I want to merge data Employee Details here in the adjacent four cells here
Use Merge Function
To Use merge function, select the cells that you want to merge.
Note here that when you merge cells, The data present in the left most or top most cell is only kept and the rest of the
data in the cells are removed automatically.
Once you have selected the cells, go to home from your top ribbon and click Merge and Center. And as you can see here
the cells have been merged.
You can also merge cells vertically as well like this. As I told earlier when you try to merge cells where data is already
present, the data in those cells are removed. Here excel is also warning you the same, Just click on Ok and voila.
So this is how you merge data in excel
Thank You, Hope you learn something new today.
