Did you know this about National Treasure? The suggestion made in the movie that there is something on the back of the Declaration of Independence is actually completely true in real life as well! Unfortunately, there isn’t a map, as far as we know, but instead a single line of writing which reads, “Original Declaration of Independence dated 4th July 1776.” It is unknown who wrote this, but was likely written to distinguish it from the copies made in its day.
