How to use the MID function in Excel?
The MID function helps in extracting a specific number of characters from a text string. You can specify the starting position and the number of characters you want to extract.
To use the MID function, you will need three key pieces of information: the text string from which you wish to extract characters, the starting position within that string, and the number of characters you want to retrieve. The syntax is as follows: `MID(text, start_num, num_chars)`.
For example, if you have a cell containing "Data Analysis" and you want to extract "Ana", your formula would look like this: `=MID(A1, 6, 3)`, where A1 contains "Data Analysis". This formula specifies that extraction should begin at the sixth character and continue for three characters.
