Reading fluently and comprehensively became more difficult for Rebecca (Becky) Cavanagh as her required reading got more complex in school, but this didn’t stop this vibrant high school senior with Down Syndrome and vision impairments from prevailing with her studies.
Once frustrated with reading, especially small text and large volumes, now Becky is grateful to a teacher who showed her how to read with Learning Ally and taught her how beneficial the audiobook library could be. “I like this library,” she said. “It made reading fun again. I can focus on the story and not worry about the individual words. It made studying easier, and my classes better. I also like to read in my free time. Thank you Learning Ally for allowing my reading to expand and learn new things!”
