Contrast vs Blending… which one is better?
One is not better than the other… they are just different!
This exercise here focuses on contrast. We want to hear the difference between the chest voice and the head voice instead of blending it all together with a mix voice.
The goal with vocal training is that you have options so that you can pick how you want to sing something - do you want to blend or have a contrast? Do you want to add vibrato or keep in on straight tone?
