In the last video(Part 1), you learned how to use google sheets as a database for your lightweight web applications.
In this video, you'll learn how to perform the search operation on the Google sheets. In other words, how to retrieve the record from Google sheet based on the condition that you passed.
Assume each tab on Google sheets as a database table and each row on the tab as a record in DB.
You can pass the condition in the API URL to retrieve the records from Google sheet DB.
For e.g. https://sheetdb.io/api/v1/u1xmuog85qs...
It is simliar to select * from Large_Emp_DB where id = 11 and email ="[email protected]"
You can use this to validate the username and password or fetch the information of the person for the given employee ID.
You can leverage the Google sheets as database and perform all CRUD operation that you can perform it on databases with the help of GoogleSheetDB app http://bit.ly/GoogleSheetDB
It gives you API access to your google sheet so you can use the Rest API POST, GET, PUT, DELETE to modify or fetch the records in Google sheets.
You can use this API for creating a website that uses google sheet as a database.
