Here’s how to create this Engraved Texture effect in Photoshop!
Create a new file - 10x10 pixels, Grayscale Color Mode, White background.
With a Marquee tool selected, draw over half of the canvas, and invert it to black.
Select Box Blur, set the value to 4. Go to Edit - Define Pattern and save it.
Create a new file, 6000x6000 pixels. Go to Fill, select the pattern you just saved.
Go to Distort - Wave and set the values as in the example. Select and copy the pattern.
Add a new 50% grey solid. Click inside of the mask and paste the pattern into the mask.
Rotate it clockwise and set its opacity to 90%. Merge layers.
Go to Distort, Ripple - set the size to Large and the amount to 15%.
Add your image. Turn it to Black and White, make it contrast.
Add the texture you made and set the blending mode to Hard Mix.
Place the texture, or scale it if you want.
Add a gradient map on top.
Your Engraved effect is ready!
