How to use the adjustment layer option in Adobe Photoshop software? The Adjustment layer option in Adobe Photoshop is useful because it adds a layer on top of the existing background.
Therefore, the backdrop of the original image does not get spoiled, and we can add effects to our requirements without disturbing the environment.

The Adjustment layer is also useful in many ways like changing the Hue and saturation of the image, giving different exposures to the photograph, and changing the color gradients of the image.
This option hides the effects over the original layer so that particular portions of the image changes and effects can be applied to that part alone. This way many layers can be added which provides an option to give different effects different portions of the photo.

The Adjustment Layer in the Photoshop helps you to enhance your image without making a modification to the entire image. Every adjustment layer will have a layer mask by default. The brush colour has two main functions.

First one being the black that blocks the effects of the adjustment layer whereas the white that reveals the adjustment effect. If you would like to make changes only to a part of the image, then the adjustment layer serves that purpose to a great extent. The layer masks are white by default and they automatically allow the adjustment layer to render changes to the entire image. What you need to do next?
