TIPS Convert Any Drum VST to MONO Audio Multitrack in STUDIO ONE

Some people suggest me to use the EXPLODE PITCHES TO TRACKS in Studio One.
I tried the explode function before making this video (I'm coming from Cubase where using the same feature is my daily task, it's called Dissolve Part in Cubase).
In Cubase, when I dissolve part (or Explode Pitches), I can have mono files right away when I mixdown it. But not in Studio One, they are stereo files. So I'm wasting more hard drive space than I need to.
For example, if you have 8 channels of stereo wave files of 48kHz 24bit, the size for 5 minutes song is 650MB instead of 330MB by using my workaround. What if my drum consists of 12 or more sounds? It means more hard drive space wasted. I know nowadays, hard drive space is big, but if I can save hard drive space, I choose that route.
And by using that Explode Pitches to Tracks command, I'm making more steps than I need to (I have to make many MIDI tracks from 1 MIDI drum when exploding it) and I have to merge the MIDI of open hi-hat and close hi-hat or Kick B0 and Kick C1 before mixdown because they belong to different MIDI tracks (If I don't merge it, I got closed hi-hat audio and open hi-hat in different audio files, not to mention they are stereo files, more hard drive space wasted and extra steps for merging different track of hi-hat and kick).
That extra steps are way more elaborate than my workaround in this video and wasted more hard drive space. So that's why I made this workaround.
I know everybody has their own way of working. I simply choose the most efficient and most hard drive saved that I can do.
