You might need to replace the sensor on your True Induction cooktop if: your cooktop isn’t detecting your induction cookware, or if you get an E8 Error Code. The reason your cooktop might not be detecting your induction cookware, is because the sensor is broken and incapable of detecting anything on the surface. If you receive an E8 Error Code on a double burner, power sharing is not working. And this can be because the sensor is not properly connected or it’s not working at all. Make sure all your wires are plugged in before replacing anything!
For Cooktops manufactured before 08/2023. Take a look at the bottom of your cooktop for the manufacture date.
