Raspberry Pi 400 : Install RetroPie and Bluetooth Game Controller and Setup Wifi
In this video, I show you how to install RetroPie and also a Bluetooth Game Controller. I am using an old game controller called Moga Pro. The problem is that Retro Pie expects you to use a USB game controller because the first screen you see is the setup screen for a Game Controller. So, if you do not have a USB game controller plugged in, it will say No GamePad detected - and that will prevent you from proceeding to the setup screen for detecting bluetooth.
The trick is, to use the keyboard as a temporary game controller - so that you can then navigate to the Bluetooth setup screen. Without a game controller you will not be able to nagivate the screen in order to setup bluetooth.
Finally, I also show you how to navigate to the Wifi Setup Dialog to setup your Wifi connection to the Internet.
If you made a mistake, just hit F4 on the keyboard to quit to the terminal then, hit Function + F10 to shutdown Raspberry Pi 400. Then reboot and try again. Note that you do not really need to be exact about what keys you set for the keyboard during the keyboard setting dialog. The only keys you will be using are the arrow keys, the key A, key B and the Enter key. The rest you can freely set anything you like. You will be only using the arrow keys, A, B and Enter to navigate to the Bluetooth settings.
