На территории заповедника "Командорский" встречается на пролете редкий вид гусеобразных Белый гусь (Anser caerulescens). Гнездится на острове Врангеля. Основу питания составляют арктические травы, листья и побеги ив, мхи и лишайники также входят в рацион. Вид занесён в Красную книгу Камчатки.

On the territory of the Commander Islands Nature Reserve, a rare species of Anseriformes, the Snow Goose (Anser caerulescens), is found on migration. Breeds on Wrangel Island. The food is based on arctic grasses, willow leaves and shoots, mosses and lichens are also included in the diet. The species is listed in the Red Book of Kamchatka.
