Guest educator Jeff Persons, President of Geo Source One and former Adjunct Professor at Hocking College, describes the role of fluid quality on system durability and performance in today's hydronic systems. From personal experiences as a researcher and system designer, Jeff addresses what causes corrosion, lime-scale formation and galvanic attack. He shows problematic system examples using real cases, and their fixes. He discuss a fluids electrical conductivity, and describes how demineralized water minimizes conductivity and thus dramatically reduces the rate of corrosion.
