High School talent show at Marian Heights Academy in Ferdinand, Indiana. May 8th, 1996. It was my 18th birthday.
This was such a good day. It started with a visit by Mike Vogel, Auschwitz survivor. It ended with this dance.
My graduating class had 18 girls.
What you can’t see is the audience. It consisted of Benedictine nuns and my all-female class. Yes, I danced. Yes, I fell.
The moral of the story? Thank God there was no social media in the 90’s. However we did have video cameras, and I’m glad I let 26 years go by before publishing this video…
