Tech Masterclass: Machine Learning in Banking & Finance
The BIBF concluded a high-level tech masterclass on Machine Learning in Banking & Finance, designed to equip participants with valuable insights and tools to harness the power of data and machine learning in the banking and finance field.
A masterclass led by Dr. Sudhakar Raju, a Harvard University Professor, introduced participants to the programming language R, which is widely used for statistical computing and data visualization. The program started with basic concepts and advanced into machine learning, emphasizing real-world applications in finance and banking. Topics covered included statistical modeling, linear and logistic regression, portfolio optimisation, clustering, decision trees, and more. The course provided a hands-on experience for participants to apply their knowledge effectively.
