The R-407 type radio station is a manpack, ultra-short wave, duplex, frequency-modulated radiotelephone station. It is designed for duplex and simplex communications with a 4 MHz transmit and receive frequency offset, and simplex communications on a single frequency, without offset, over a single telephone channel, or in repeater mode.
