Made in Open Brush, the open-source successor to Tilt Brush, this stop-motion animation demonstrates and visualizes some basic UI and interactions for my personal research project; it will be used as a reference while I continue to work.
Making an animation in Open Brush was a lot of fun, though I ended up running into an unexpected limitation with it - there is no way to tripod a virtual camera in it. There are a number of other, similar systems available, but none that do what I needed, unfortunately. My workflow for this ended up involving me keeping a virtual view of the screenshot folder attached to one of my hands, which I would use to help guide me on the next shot. Then I'd take it, run around making small adjustments to the scene, run back, compare positioning, and then take it again.
Despite my best efforts, the end result was still incredibly shaky. I edited the video frame-by-frame to stabilize it, making it much more viewable than the raw version was. In total, this animation had 150 frames that I captured, and then composited together.
ReUploaded with Audio fix that hopefully works properly.
