This is a PC that's going to be hooked up to the living room TV primarily for emulation but possibly some more powerful uses as well such as streaming or a few big boy games if they work well on a TV with a controller.

What I've learned in this process is that if you're building a computer strictly for emulation, Intel is definitely the way to go. It's one of the few use cases for buying Intel right now other than serious frame chasing. Dolphin is the emulation I have primarily been testing and it seems to favor Intel CPUs and AMD GPUs. That's not to say emulation isn't perfectly adequate on AMD CPUs, it will work but with less consistency. I have since learned that Intel has instruction sets that AMD doesn't that help a lot with PS3 emulation, so that is something to consider.

AMD GPUs also seem to have issues with cemu from what I've read online too, so bear that in mind. Intel seems to be the way to go for the CPU end of things, but the GPU you might have to be picky with depending on what you're interested in emulating.
