Getting initial access in a CTF is an AWESOME feeling, and Netcat is typically how we catch our reverse shells. BUT...it's not the only way!
In this episode, we will look into using open-source C2 frameworks such as Metasploit, Sliver C2, and PowerShell-Empire/Starkiller, to generate our shell payloads and manage shell connections in a CTF boot-to-root.
This will give us a way to get hands-on with some new offensive tooling and broaden our knowledge, skill, and expertise with more advanced tools.
